"Managing Eating Disorders from a Primary Care Practice"
A 90 minute powerpoint presentation with nutritionist Michele Vivas, M.S., R.D. for physicians covering the essential elements of medical management and case management of the medical manifestation of eating disorders.
"Helping Your Teen Develop a Positive Body Image and Healthy Lifestyle"
A 90 minute power point presentation for parents reviewing the research and recommendations regarding eating disorder and obesity prevention.
"Bringing Baby Home"
A 12 hour research-based and research-tested couples communication and infant parenting class designed to address the relationship changes that can be brought about by the birth of a child. Research shows that approximately 70% of couple's experience a significant decline in relationship satisfaction in the first three years after the birth of their first child. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of life for babies and children by strenghtening the couple and family relationship. Research shows that couples who complete the Bringing Baby Home class experience significantly less relationship conflict, significantly lower rates of post-partum depression, and stronger father-infant attachment. Seperate two hour presentations from the overall 12 hour training are also availabe with topics including:
